Fundraising at hoppa
Generating income through fundraising helps us to continue to provide a service that is affordable and
to have a fleet of buses that are reliable and comfortable.
There are many ways to show your personal support for hoppa; here are a couple of ways you may wish to help.
Just Giving
We are raising money to buy two new buses on the online giving platform Just Giving.
In our first campaign we would like to raise enough money to buy an electric vehicle so we can pilot running this type of vehicle with confidence before transitioning to an all-electric fleet of buses.
In our second campaign, we are aiming to raise enough money to replace one old bus with a new one that has been modified to include fold-out steps and a ramp or lift so it is accessible for wheelchair and pushchair users.
Co-op Community organisers
We are supporting Co-op to build better communities. Visit our page to find out more or to make a donation
Nectar Donate
We take part in a fundraising programme called Nectar Donate which is run by the online fundraising platform Crowdfunder.
As well as donating cash there to hoppa, you can choose to donate some or all your Nectar points as well. Any donations we receive will go towards funding our new buses so we can continue to enable older people and those without transport to be independent.
Do it yourself fundraising
If hoppa has touched your life in a positive way and you would like to give something back, there are countless ways you can help fundraise for our latest project. Ideas include:
- Bake sale
- Walking
- Sponsored swim
- Giving something up such as caffeine or chocolate
- Running marathons, half-marathons or 10Ks
- Cycling: there are many local events such as Little Lumpy or Farnham’s charity ride Farnham Charity Bike Ride.
- Cutting and donating hair
- Gaming marathon
If you would like to raise money for hoppa, you can make use of our Just Giving page to set up an online ‘Fundraise for us’ page. JustGiving has a checklist which you can use to create your own online campaign. There are tips on writing your story, choosing your goal, adding pictures and videos, posting updates, and personalising your thank you messages.
